My ideas often begin over a cup of coffee, in the shower, while driving, or standing in line at the grocery store. Reading a book might spark a thought, or I may subconsciously hold on to something about an author’s style that resurfaces later in an entirely different form. And sometimes, an idea simply drops in for a visit, unannounced, and refuses to leave.
